Mechanically it is pretty sound, and the turbo spools fine but there is currently a check engine light on due to the exhaust cam actuator not operating correctly, and the thermostat being stuck open

All original 1 owner vw from california. I bought this vw from the original owner in california. It is all very original and in great running condition. I use this van as my daily driver. Everything works except the ac. It drives very nice and very smooth. Being that it is all original it would need a paint job however the originality of it adds to the novelty of owning a vanagon. Paint is 90% original and still has a good sheen (it looks like the rear corner was repainted once). The original camper parts are all there including the upper bed and child/pet cot. Runs and drives but was in storage for several years and will need some tuning for use as a daily driver. Has a small amount of surface rust in some spots but no rot. The previous owner added a weber carburetor. I have too many vws so unfortunately i have to let this gem go. Could be used for driving/camping as is or an easy restoration, would take a small amount of work to get this bus looking really amazing but i don't have time with my other projects, so i want to see it get a good home. It needs new canvas for the pop top as the original canvas was removed by the previous owner. The vinyl on the rear seats is cracked and torn, and the body has small dents and dings as shown in the pictures.
